Help! I'm jealous of my friend's relationship with a squirrel. How do I get over this?

I'm friends with this guy who is really awesome, but lately he hasn't had a lot of time to spend with me because he's too busy with this squirrely he has befriended. I gues Melvin (the squirrel's name) has self esteem issues and so my friend is trying to teach the squirrel to water ski so it'll build up it's self esteem. I think it's great of my friend to be doing this, but at the same time, I feel jealous of their bonding time and relatoinship they share. How do I get over this?
